TA Impact: Powering Student Success 2026
Tuesday November 3, 2026 10:00am - 11:00am EST
Teaching Assistants occupy a uniquely powerful position in the classroom — often the first to notice a struggling student and the consistent presence that makes a child feel truly seen. This experiential workshop explores how an intentional, joyful approach deepens that impact. Through relational exercises and hands-on activities, TAs will experience firsthand how fun and genuine connection breaks down barriers, opens communication, and creates moments of shared joy that build authentic trust. Participants will explore how a mindset rooted in trust and warmth supports social-emotional development, helps regulate anxious or disengaged students, and creates the psychological safety where learning happens. A special focus on progressive risk-taking shows how carefully sequenced relational interactions build student confidence, resilience, and lasting connection — the quiet, powerful work TAs do every day.
This is the first in a series of three workshops with Howard Moody that build on each other and also stand alone.
