About me
I have a bachelor’s degree in elementary education, with a concentration in behavioral sciences, from Concordia College-Bronxville, a master’s degree in reading and literacy from Fordham University, and an advanced certificate in educational leadership from SUNY New Paltz. I began my educational career in my family business, Open Day Educational Services, Inc., providing preschool, tutoring, and dance instruction to early childhood learners. I also taught first and second grade in the Peekskill City School District, worked as a reading specialist, literacy coach, specializing in adult learning, and as a district coordinator for the Wappingers Central School District, as well as served as a director for K-12 curriculum in the Arlington Central School District. As a consultant, I partner with Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES, Dutchess County BOCES, Ulster County BOCES, Western Suffolk BOCES, the Mid-Hudson Teacher Center, Franklin Square Union Free School District, The Educators Link, as well as other public and private schools and organizations. When I am not consulting, I serve roles as a teacher, assistant Principal and Principal in K-12 schools in the Hudson Valley. I also maintain positions in small business service industries in the area.
